Hot Air Balloon - Many people dream of spending a romantic afternoon with the person they love. It’s a bit scandalous to steal a few hours away from work to head out to a long lunch or a midday movie. If you want to make your special afternoon even more amazing why not take a hot air balloon ride It’s not as expensive as you may think and there are more and more companies offering this service.
You may think if you are scared of heights that venturing up into the blue sky in one of these will be terrifying. Many people who are fearful of flying find that they are very comfortable in a hot air balloon. The reason may be that they can feel the fresh air on their face or the fact that the ascent is very gentle compared to an airplane or helicopter.
The price also isn’t difficult to absorb. Most people when asked mistakenly believe that a ride in a hot air balloon is comparable cost wise to an airplane ticket. This is rarely the case. In fact you shouldn’t expect to pay anymore for a balloon ride than you would for dinner at a nice restaurant.
You’ll need to book a time to take your trip. When you call to do this, inquire about their policy regarding weather delays. One downside to planning a hot air balloon ride is that the weather can play havoc with your plans. If it is too windy, or raining or even too cloudy, there may be safety issues which require that the balloon not take flight.
Most companies have a policy in place which allows you to rebook your trip if weather does cause its cancellation. Therefore it’s a good idea to have a back-up plan in place. This way you won’t be completely devastated if your initial hot air balloon ride has to be cancelled.
Depending on the type of package you purchase you may also be treated to a picnic lunch. Some hot air balloon ride companies have various adventures available for people who want to celebrate a special occasion. This is a lovely gesture that you can use to surprise your spouse on your wedding anniversary or on their birthday.
Whatever the reason taking one of these rides above the city or town you live in is a truly unforgettable experience. Remember to bring along a warm jacket in case it gets breezy and a camera to capture every moment of this breathtaking adventure. You’ll want to look back fondly on your moment spent flying in the sky.
