Introduction:
The story is about the two brothers, Alphonse and Edward Elric. Ever since they were young they had practiced the science of alchemy.

When they were young their father left, and they remained in the care of their mother. When their mother died, they want to see her again so they performed the human alchemy.

But following the law of alchemy, that every alchemy has an exact trade when they failed ,Alphonse lost his whole body and Edward lost his left leg. Knowing that with no body Alphonse will surely die, Edward sacrificed his right hand to transmute Alphonse into a suit of armor.

Because of what had happened to them, search for the legendary stone, The Philosopher's Stone, to restore their body bak to its original form.
     
Characters:

Edward Elric - Edward Elric, the older of the two brothers, is charactaristically short. Edward becomes the youngest state alchemist in history, a prodigal genius.

As all state alchemists have, he is given a codename, Full Metal Alchemist, rooting from his auto-mail (artificial metal) body, his arm and leg.

In order to recover his original body, along with his brother, he travels to find the philosopher's stone.
   

Alphonse Elric - Alphonse Elric is the younger brother to Edward. He too has a profound knack at alchemy, but is not a state alchemist, which allows him to do certain things that Edward cannot do.

Of the two brothers, Alphonse would be the kinder and more understanding of them. Through their trials and tribulations, he keeps his reckless brother out of too much trouble.
   
 

Winry Rockbell - a mechanic of the automail in the Elrics' hometown. Always repairs Edward's Automail (with a little lecturing..) and also the brothers' childhood friend.

Always yelling at Edward not to damage his automail from too much fighting, but reality she is a sweet caring person. (*Edward disagrees and beat the crap out of darkangel...*)
   
  Lt. Colonel Roy Mustang - The Flame Alchemist

Roy Mustang is one of the national alchemist like Edward Elric, but specializes in flame alchemy. He uses special gloves that can create spark to create fire.

At first glance, Roy is nothing more than a cocky man who would jump at the chance to see women in skirts, but in reality he is a determined person, who is not so easily defeatable.
   
   

1st Lt. Riza Hawkeye - Roy Mustang's subordinate, acting as his advisor and his aid. She is very skilled in the use of firearms. Always calm and cool, and not easily disturbed by other things. However, she is feared by her peers (they can't see what she's thinking... and this always disturbs their minds..)
