The Absolute Conscience vs. The
Human Natural -- Part Deux
In order for a concept to be universal, there must be
at least one connection made between all forms who inherit this
concept. Two things all rational beings exert are contentment of
morality and a state of nature. The misconception in which most
people believe is that morals are set by nature. When we come
together to form a society, we give up our right to carry out
certain actions without consequences. In nature, there are no
set moral laws. Each being acts as part of his nature. In
society however, we adhere to specific rules for out own safety
from the brutality of nature. Those living among the society
have the option to follow the laws, change them or leave the
society. Many choose to simply obey the laws out of fear, out of
laziness or out of the "faith" that they will work. Since the
laws of society are created based on the moral laws of it's
founders, we can then say each society follows it's moral code.
If this were the case, there would never be a need to change the
laws because they would hold true for society. But there is a
sense of evil and corruption in the world and no social code
could then be considered perfect.
A social code based on reason is subject to discussion as anything that
can be proven given sufficient reasons. So we can then say a
social code can never be universal because it would have to hold
true within all societies. Each person is entitled to their
rights and it is only through these means can we come to a fair
conclusion. By fair, I mean those who adhere to it accept it
with the idea that it can be changed. The Human Natural is a
system of a social code. In nature, we understand that it is a
brutally violent world and there is no systematic justice other
than cause and effect. In the system of the absolute conscience,
we are left to singly determine what is justified or acceptable.
God has installed us with this intuition so that the world will
continue. Without discussion, ideas, and change; our world would
fall apart. This is not with the intention that God values us
over all other creations, but with the idea that it further
progresses life and creation. We have the ability to form
societies, to develop individual moral codes and to apply both
to our understanding.
In a system of faith, one denies the possibility of am individual moral
code and lives on the idea that miracles outside of their
understanding have set right and wrong for them. Had we been
forced with the ideals of a set right and wrong though, the
progression of creation would be limited because people would
have saw exploration and the sciences as a form of heresy. We
are shaped by both our absolute conscience and the human natural
and it is through the progression of virtuous understanding we
can begin to see God, not as a slave to our individual moral and
selfish ideas, but instead as a creator who has given us a
choice to define our absolute conscience once he has established
the human natural. Our absolute conscience is a deductive
reasoning of our human natural, the human natural setting all
things into being and the absolute conscience individually
working to understand and justify them. It is through reason and
understanding instead of blind faith that we can be closer to
God. God gives us natural intuitions to do what we need for
survival and it is up to us to use this so we can develop
societies based on our absolute conscience we individually have.
God --> Develops Natural World --> Man is born on instinct and
nature --> Man gains the knowledge of what is right and wrong
based on his social upbringing in nature --> Man makes rational
decisions on what he believes if right and wrong based on the
balance of natural order --> Man begins to understand an
appreciate God for giving him the power of free will of morality
and consciousness.
Macology: The Gospel according
to Josh
Let the story be told as one which has shaped history
as we know it.
"I need a double
cheese burger and hold the lettuce"
Now what is a double cheese burger you ask? A Cheese burger is a
representation of the Earth as one. The circle of life. In this
circle of life, there are male and female counter partners which
create the circle. A cheeseburger comes from the cow. A cow,
which some consider to be a holy animal produces milk which is
transformed into cheese. The burger portion comes right from the
cow, which has sacrificed itself in order to maintain the circle
of life. A nigga gotta eat as some put it. These cows know their
place in life is to be eaten so they work hard to make
themselves big and plump so the burgers taste just that much
better. The lettuce represents the grass. The cows eat the grass
in order to maintain this circle and as it is formed in a
burger, the buns which represents the Earth itself hold the
grass, which is close to the milk producers on the cow which is
attached to the cow itself.
"Don't be frontin son -- no
seeds on the bun"
Man and Woman help procreate on this Earth to maintain this circle of
life. What is being said in this line is that one must not joke
about the gift of life. Since man was perfect, God reached out
to let them know he did not want their creation; sin to touch
the ground of the Earth. This line can be considered a direct
statement from God to humans in an effort to keep the purity of
the Earth in balance. The Human seed of sin was not supposed to
enter the Earth, but Humans were tricked by something we will
talk about later.
"We be up in this drive through order for two"
What the drive through is very misinterpreted by most
people. Some say the drive through represents the Garden of
Eden. Others say it is the representation of the love making
process by males and females. The correct interpretation is the
one which foretells the appearance of humans in the Garden of
Eden. Adam and Eve were the only two humans to ever exist in the
Garden of Eden. Since God had told them not to bring sin into
it, Adam responded that he was there and there was nothing God
could do about it. He saw God's statement as not just bullshit.
But Nigger bullshit.
"I gots a cravin' fo' a numba
nine like my shoe"
This line is debated between due to the idea that it
could be interpreted as fact or as a metaphor. The factual part
explains how Adam and Eve were tempted for a number nine. On the
McDonald's value meal the ninth meal is the Ten Piece Chicken
McNuggets. So what does this mean? Man has ten fingers which is
the same amount of nuggets you can get. He craves for a number
nine like his shoe because it is with these ten
nuggets/fingers/toes that one can take what they want. If we
flip the number nine, it turns to six. The sixth meal is the
grilled or crispy chicken. This shows the power of action and
reaction. By using his ten nuggets, he will receive the fate of
being grilled or crisped.
"We need some chicken up in
here, in this skizzle(?)"
Some view this line as a cry of anger from Adam. He wants chicken in
the Garden of Eden. Why? Why would he want his grubby little
hands to bring upon the consequences of being grilled or crisped
in the Garden of Eden? We must observe who is in the car. The
human sits in the drivers seat because he is the one making the
final decision while driving. It is the trickster sitting in the
passengers seat persuading him to head the wrong way and to
bring about a horrible fate upon humanity.
"For rizzle my
mizzle, extra salt on da frizzle"
For real. This isn't a joke. Salt is something you don't want to pour
on your wounds because it will cause it to burn and hurt. This
is supposed to show how Humans have spread the salt over the
fries; being the rest of humanity. Like fries, we are easily
created and grouped together while being eaten. Some fries fall
to the bottom of the bag and are forgotten while others are
dipped in ketchup and are held in high regard over others. By
pouring this salt over humanity we elevate them over others, but
take away the attention of the natural flavor.
"Doctor pepper my brothah, another for ya motha"
In this line we see that now humans are trying to reach out to help
others. Doctors are considered people who help others. They word
hard to save other peoples lives and hand out prescription
medicine. Pepper is a substance which is hot and can burn the
tongue of a person. Doctor Pepper is simply the combination of
duality. We offer to help others but in reality we wish to
destroy them from the insides and burn their mouths. Adam offers
it to his brother and tries to take down his fellow humans. Adam
also offers it to Mother Earth by wasting her resources and by
destroying her land.
"Doulbe-double supah size and don't forget the
fries"
Since there is a typo in the lyrics, it must NEVER be
corrected for it has become documented legend. We must look at
why he says Double-Double supah size. If we revert back to the
car scenario we can see that the human is going to supah size
his meal. He is also supah sizing for his friend. He says double
twice because you have to and you have to. Flip it. He reminds
us not to forget the fries because he wants us to remember that
there are other fries who will crawl into the drive through, but
will not know the story of the car in front of them. Let the
legend be told that we must never forget the fries, our fellow
brethren who must remember to never supah size their mean
because it will only cost more and will be more detrimental to
their health. Never forget the fries.
Review of Sartre's Concepts: "The
Role of the Other in Self Understanding"
For Sartre, there are two ways in which we can deal
with the others objectifying view of subjectivity. We can deny
that they have any control over us. We can escape the realism
that they in so turn affect our lives. The second sense is to
accept how the other views me and deal with it on my own
accords. Sartre considers this method to be the Love Relation.
As Sartre explains "To Love is to want to be Loved". Each person
who is cast as the lover seeks the affection from the beloved.
Sartre claims the method in which one goes about this is by
using the logic of seduction. In order for the lover to seduce
the beloved they must objectify themselves. By objectifying
themselves they become viewed as harmless by the beloved. The
lover hopes to obtain the others subjectivity by becoming an
object.
They seek to be the center of the beloved's world and by objectifying
themselves, they gain the attention needed from the beloved.
However the fallacy of this concept is that the beloved also
then seeks to become viewed as an object for the same reason.
The beloved objectifies himself and eliminates his own
subjectivity in order to first gain the lovers subjectivity. The
roles of lover and beloved become reversed over and over, each
objectifying themselves by eliminating their own subjectivity.
Sartre see's the problem with this because it shows how the love
relation begins to fail. It is the most important case of all
the concrete relations because it is the most common and most
desired among human. Sartre also points out other concrete
relations. These include Sadism, Masochism, Indifference and
Desire.
Sadism can be seen as one trying to forcefully gain the others
subjectivity. They objectify in the hope to eliminate their
subjectivity. However, they merely attribute to the others
subjectivity and objectifying themselves to a dominant figure.
Masochism can be seen as the case where one objectifies
themselves in an effort for the other to own their subjectivity.
Masochism fails because the masochist has to use the other as an
instrument; objectifying them. This affirms their subjectivity
which is the very thing the masochist is trying to escape from.
The idea of indifference is one where we don't concern ourselves
with the others subjectivity or objectivity. We stay outside of
the realm of the other and try to live for ourselves. This idea
fails because in order to understand our own subjectivity, we
need the other so that we have something to compare ourselves
with.
In the relation of desire, one views the other as nothing more than an
object of flesh. They objectify the other for sexual purposes
but then them into an object of sexual purpose as experienced by
the other. Sartre explains that every one of these concrete
relations fails because of one's inability to realize how they
are casting the other and how the other will react. The love
relation is the model for all of these relations because it
provides the many different accounts where one tries to deal
with the others perception of the self. In by trying to deal
with it, we learn that any form of the Love Relation will fails
because of what we expect and the other expects from another.
Review of Sartre's Concepts: "Transcending
-Transcendence and Transcendence-Transcended"
In order to understand what Sartre means by the
transcending-transcendence relation and the
transcendence-transcended relations we must first understand the
concepts of Sartre's ideology. For Sartre the conscience is a
vague and confusing sense of being. We each are conscious in the
sense that we are alive. We can feel and interpret things for
our own understanding and realized we exist in the world. Sartre
claims there are two forms of consciousness; the objective
and the subjective. The objective is one which we observe
to be as real things we can touch such as a rock, a tree or a
car. The subjective is a form we apply to humans. We know they
are subjective because we see the similarities we both possess.
We both can feel, interpret and act at our own will and this
therefore separates us from being objects. In viewing ourselves
and others we can apply Sartre's three dimensions of the body to
his concept of transcending one another. We interpret ourselves
as possessing a conscience. However, it is how I view my body
for others that ties into this topic.
We understand that ourselves as viewed by others is nothing more than as
an object. This is because in situating ourselves we recognize
that we are amongst objects. We place ourselves amongst these
objects as they pertain to our lives. We then know that the
other situates us as we situate him. Sartre calls this
transcending-transcendence; The other sees us as an object
in his world. We are the pizza delivery boy or the soldier sent
to war. The other incorporates our subjectivity to better
understand his or her objectivity. We play a role in his
conscious world and are objectified by him. Sartre's third
dimension explains how we deal with the knowledge of this. We
then view our body for ourselves as it is known by others. We
understand how others view us as objects and this creates a
sense of self-judgment which we make upon ourselves.
Sartre explains that in the idea of transcendence-transcended. The
other situates his subjectivity over me so in turn I situate my
subjectivity over him. I transcend myself and in turn I view him
as an object as well. He now becomes the paper boy or the bus
driver. Subjects who I objectively view as natural parts of
every day existence. He becomes an object in our world. We no
longer view him as a subjective figure, but now eliminate that
from him to objectify him and situate him amongst the other
objects in our world. What Sartre is trying to overlay is that
the other situates me as an object in his world and in turn I
situate him as an object in my world. I view him as a mere title
in order to understand my own subjectivity. I transcend the
other in a cycle, putting my subjectivity before the other so
that I can understand myself.
Review of Sartre's "Anti-Semite
and Jew"
The view of the Jew can be expressed in one line from
Sartre's book Anti-Semite and Jew. "The Jew is a Jew
because others make him a Jew". This idea states that the Jew is
merely a creation of society. His image, personality and
appearance are created by society. Sartre claims that it is the
Anti-Semite who creates this image of the Jew simply to make a
group stand out. The Anti-Semite rests upon the hate of the Jew
because he feels society requires it of him. The hate for the
Jew dates back to the idea that the Jews killed Christ and how
Christians cannot handle money.
The Anti-Semite feels the notion that he is doing what is right because
society allows him to do so. The Anti-Semite feels that by
casting the Jew as evil, he is therefore portrayed as good. The
idea that if the Jew did not exist, the Anti-Semite would invent
him therefore means that the Anti-Semite has labeled a victim
only for the elevation of his own character. The Anti-Semite
lives off the hate of his enemy and had the Jew's not existed,
he would have simply chosen another group to target and hate.
Sartre explains how the title of the Jew grows to proceed the
ethnic background, race, religion and identity of the Jew. One
must simply have Jewish traits in order to be targeted by the
Anti-Semite.
The Anti-Semite also refutes the ideas of one trying to escape being a
Jew as Sartre claims. These titles; the inauthentic and the
authentic Jew represent the two forms of Jews the Anti-Semite
has created. The in-authentic Jew is one who tries to escape his
Jewishness, one who the Anti-Semite targets. He claims that he
is denying his Jewish self and must always be considered a Jew.
We can then see that Sartre wants to show us how the Anti-Semite
fuels on hatred and can create anyone to be an enemy. Regardless
of the Jews existence, the Anti-Semite will create a victim and
force him to become a victim of society as Sartre expresses.
Review of Sartre's
"Existentialism as a Humanism"
Sartre's view of existentialism as a humanism
revolves around the idea that we are placed in this world. We do
not choose to be born, but accept the reality that we do exist.
Since we exist, our life is affected by our daily decisions.
Each decision is influenced by the world and in turn we
influence the world. We do not directly control the world but we
indirectly have a part in it's existence. We do however control
our own lives and actions. Sartre see's this as our existence in
life. Our essence reflects our reason for being and is the
concept of understanding why things are the way they are. For
Sartre our existence precedes our essence, meaning the fact that
we do exist is what matters more than the reason why.
It is with this idea we can say that we become responsible for ourselves
because we ourselves exist. In our existence we have emotions
and feelings which alter our lives. In our existence we also
make decisions which affect the lives of others. Sartre gives an
example of this with a story of his friend who must decide
between staying with his widowed mother or joining the military.
His decision despite what it may be will ultimately affect his
life as well as everyone else's. It is because of this we can
see how we are responsible for this world. With this story
Sartre shows us that sometimes we cannot see what is the right
decision to make in cases when both would seem morally wrong to
abandon.
Sartre wants us to know that we must take all possibilities into hand
when we make such critical decisions. Our existence and our
essence show that it is up to us to affect his world, not
because we have a choice, but because we exist to do so. We are
free to do as we wish but we all share the common functions of
life. We are born, we live for some time and then we die.
Although we may be put into this world with or without a goal,
by our existence we live out the goal to make a difference in
this world and ultimately make a difference for all of humanity.
Review of Camus' "The Stranger"
In order to see if Camus portrays Mersault as an
absurd character, we must understand the concept of the absurd.
The absurd is a representation of an individual who is excluded
from society. One who does not follow social values or social
morality. The absurd individual see's the world as a series of
individual events, rather than actions being connected or
leading to one another. This individual see's no purpose or
reason for the idea of an afterlife but is focused on the
satisfaction of the current life.
Mersault can then be considered an absurd character because he is living
simply because he exists. Mersault has no moral restrictions or
social restrictions and this therefore leads him to a life of
simply being. He experience's day to day actions and emotions,
but see's no reason how or why they lead into one another. This
can bee seen when Mersault shows no real concern that he killed
an Arab. His acceptance of this is that it was just something
that happened. Mersault for the main part of the story shows no
concern for death or the after life. At the time set for his
execution he realizes he is going to die sooner or later and
draws the conclusion that it doesn't matter whether you die at
30 or 70. While in jail, Mersault begins to see he has no
purpose without the pleasures of daily life and moves into a
waiting period for his execution.
Camus wants us to see the absurd character as something we have created.
Mersault is who he is because we make him to be this way. The
absurd character has no chance to live among society because he
does not follow societies rules. Mersault is the extreme example
of this because of the fate he suffers from his trial. Because
he showed no concern for his mother's death, no concern for
killing the Arab and no concern for defending himself among the
court; Mersault is set to die by the order of the court. The
absurd character or Mersault is a victim of society for simply
living life distant from social practices and awareness.
Living in the Shadow
What does a shadow represent? As light passes over an
object, a shadow is created. Without light, shadows do not
exist. When a groundhog see's his shadow, he becomes scared. He
does anything in his power to try and escape it. Shadows of the
smallest objects, could be the biggest. A shadow is then the
hidden surface of ourselves. We see shadows and view them as
nothing when they really allow us to see who we are. Our shape,
our form is creating it's own shadow. It allows us to see what
we are, much like a mirror does. Perhaps a shadow is the
separation between our darkness and our light. A children's
tale; Peter Man shows him in control of his shadow. That is
until the shadow's free will comes into play. The shadow begins
to operate on it's own, thinking, acting for itself. It is up to
Peter Pan to control it and subdue it to being simply the shape
of his existence. It is our shadows then, which carry our free
will. Our shadows operate on the reflection of our free will.
Our shadows will mimic our actions, lifelessly, allowing it's
will to be controlled by the shadow caster. We, like groundhogs
are afraid to see our own shadows. We refuse to watch our
actions, our life be mimicked by a creation of ourselves. It is
this fear that let's us pass over what we do that which we are
ashamed of. We know our shadows will not act out of it's own
will. We know our shadows do not have thoughts. We must
therefore accept that we control them. So what is it to live in
the shadow? The shadow is the darkness of our existence, our
faults, our wrongful decisions. There are two ways to eliminate
the burden the shadow brings us. One way is to move into a world
of darkness, one in which shadows do not exist. A world where we
are oblivious to our faults, oblivious to our worries, oblivious
to sympathy and indifferent to emotion. A world in which
everything happens because you let it happen. Where we cannot
see what we do and the line of right and wrong is eliminated. Or
we can live in a world of light, one in which shadows exist for
everything. In this world we see that the world is imperfect,
everything casts a shadow and contains a hidden past. In this
world we know and accept what we have done. We carry our shadows
knowing that as we live, we will remain with a shadow. We can
therefore live in the shadow, in a world where we are conscience
of our right and wrong decisions. Our shadows represent who we
are. They are proof that we exist with flaws. I am living in the
shadow to know my weaknesses but more importantly, to know my
strengths.
Something from Nothing
This idea is one which can work both ways. However
there seems to be more evidence to prove that something cannot
come from nothing and that idea is based on the idea that
nothing cannot exist. Because of the limitations of science we
can simply observe that even the smallest particles are made up
of even smaller particles. As we get closer and closer we will
see that every particle is touching one another showing that
something must always exist. The concept of nothing is set by
man to create our own limitations. If we have 3 apples and
slowly eliminate them we will eventually end up with no apples,
or nothing. However those 3 apples still exist in this world in
a different form. Matter cannot be created or destroyed and
therefore can only be manipulated. Since God has existed before
the universe with the assumption that he is the creator, then he
must have always been there. We can view God's existence like
the value of infinity. It represents the largest value on the
number system. Infinity has no beginning and no end, so we can
apply this ideal to the existence of God. The counterpoint that
something comes from nothing would lead a person to believe that
God must have come from nothing and was created as well. This
would be like saying infinity is not the largest value because
infinity + 1 would indicate a larger number. However we take
this to be the equivalent of infinity. Knowing that something
represents the infinite helps us understand that we mean the
absolute when we speak of it. All matter is broken down and
redistributed throughout the world. The concept of nothing can
then be seen as one way to limit an infinite entity. To say God
came from nothing would mean that no infinite can exist because
even those can be turned from something into nothing. God exists
as an infinite, something that has always been a part of this
world. He will be through it's rise and to it's demise.
Review of Nietzsche's Most
Celebrated Themes
Nietzsche's three most celebrated themes are the Will
to Power, the Eternal Return and the Death of God. Nietzsche's
three themes are separate ideas, but all revolve around one main
point. That point is that we possess the power to do anything we
want and there is nothing to hold us back. Nietzsche breaks down
this concept into his three themes, hoping to let people
understand the smaller pieces so they can solve life's puzzle.
The Will to Power focuses on the idea that man controls his own
life. We bring about change and growth through out every action.
Since man is so effective, we are dominant over all other life
forms on the planet. We can speak, act and think as we want to
and can be as influential on society, our lives and this world
as much or as little as possible. Nietzsche's second theme; the
Eternal Return focuses on our "meaning" or "goals" in life. He
feels many people work for the afterlife more than for the
present life. Man is disconcerted with working to achieve all in
this life and only cares about receiving salvation for the next.
Nietzsche feels that we must stop this ideology and live our
lives as if we were to eternally return to this earth. Our work
and energy now will provide for a better world when we return.
All of our efforts become transferred and help us in our eternal
return on Earth. Nietzsche's third theme; the Death of God
represents the idea that we no longer have t olive in a world
driven by morals. We can operate without the worry of being
damned and can forget about the old ways in which we used to
follow. We are free to expand our creativity without needed
justification from anyone. This allows us pure freedom and the
ability to control our own destiny. Nietzsche's three themes
allows us to see there is no restriction on our lives. We are
capable to do anything we desire as long as we have and give
ourselves the power to do so. We should do all we can to the bet
of our abilities and live as if we could transfer our hard work
into the next life. We should also do this without the worries
of morality, therefore making our powers limitless. Nietzsche
believes that we can achieve everything in this world if we
eliminate any and all oppositions. His three points rest on the
idea that anything can happen as long as you persevere, struggle
and remain loyal to your cause.
Review of Nietzsche's "The
Death Of God"
When Nietzsche uses the term "the Death of God" he
does not intend for it to be interpreted literally. The Death of
God is the conceptual idea that we have turned our backs on him.
By turning out backs on him we have eliminated him fro our
lives. God's death leads those who understand the matter to
realize that we have ripped apart the foundation of our society.
Most of the unaware masses have yet to see that God is dead and
they therefore continue to live in a world run by God's rules.
What we do not realize is that these people have brought about
God's death by re-administering their faith in God, into other
entities. The unaware have become slaves to science and
technology, letting it overpower the rules of God. Our society
which was one time held back by moral laws is now free to do as
they wish. God's death has allowed people to not worry about the
effects of eternal punishment. This is the greatest even in
history because it has open the doors to all possibilities.
Without God, man will no longer have to live in fear of making
the moral choice or as in Nietzsche's times; the moral decision
by the church. Man has always lived in fear of God, recognizing
that he is the one and only supreme power over us. With the
death of God, man has to fear no more because he has become
divine. Now that God is dead, we possess full freedom and never
have to worry about being a rational being among society. With
God's death, we see the fall of morality, ethics and philosophy.
There is simply no need for it in a Godless world. Man is now
broken from his clutches and is free to explore, interpret and
understand the world around him. Nietzsche wants the world to
realize there is nothing holding us back. However this concept
is the hardest idea to ever grasp. We have lived in a God-ruled
world forever. This idea will take time to accept by those who
both follow the morals of God and for those who do not believe
in God. The death of God is both the greatest and the worst
thing that can ever happen. It will bring about the rise of
science and technology without morality to keep us in check so
we do not bring about the destruction that God was once apart
of.
A Few Steps Back
When we observe our lives, we see ourselves as
insignificant parts of the world. The problem with this is that
it is so hard for us to accept that we are the product of every
action in this world. Every time we take a step forward, we must
look at the reasoning behind it. Our left foot forward is
preceded by our right foot forward. Each step is the result of
the previous step. The step before and the step before.
Eventually we will see that our simple act of walking is
triggered by our previous actions. In a bigger perspective our
day to day actions are triggered by our previous weeks actions.
Also by our previous months actions, previous years actions and
all in all, the actions of our life. We as humans are all
connected through physical means, meaning within our actions we
have crossed paths with others actions. Lets call our path of
actions our frames of life. We begin to see that as one person
interacts with another, our frames of life get inserted in the
others human highlight reel of life. If one persons life were to
be played as a movie, there is no doubt that everyone that has
ever existed in the world would appear in the credits. So what
does this tell us about the simple notion other than everything
is everything? It allows us to see that ignorance of understand
the past will lead you to never understand one's self. So it is
possible to blame our mistakes on the generations of the past
for creating the life we lead? Yes. As much as it is for the
future generations to blame their mistakes on us. The world can
simply be viewed as a mold of clay. Clay can be bent out of
shape, twisted into knots and broken into pieces. But in the end
you can simply reshape the clay and bring it back to it's
original state as if the previous attempts to shape it were
insignificant. Since the dawn of time we have possessed this
power. Every mans action leads to another mans action. A wave of
evil then, can simply be overturned by an act of good. We as
humans have been chosen to make this happen. The world lies in
our hands and it is up to us to reshape it. By reshaping our
lives we can reshape the world as we know it.
For Love, For Joy, For Peace
We cannot understand the processes of life unless we
have experienced it. Love is something which comes in all forms.
The Love for God is a shared feeling like a group of siblings
may have for their parents. To obtain love, one must first
understand that the roots of love are based on the acceptance of
the different. Our love for God means we accept him for what he
is and he accepts up for who are are. To love means to hate
less, to be more supportive of our own investigation of which we
do not understand. While hate leads to fear and fear leads to
evil we can also make the assumption that love leads to joy and
joy leads to peace.
Joy is a collection of our love for the world. Our love for God, our love
for our friends and our love for our families. Joy is our
emotional reward for love, it gives us the power we need, to be
who we are. In essence, joy is the indication that we possess
the ability to love. Since joy is an emotion where as love is a
feeling, it can be redistributed to fields in which we 'hate'.
The joy of hate of hate towards those we do not like for
example. This shows that we are indeed rational beings and
further proves that if we are able to channel our joy for hate,
then we also possess the ability to channel our joy for love.
Experiencing joy from love helps us to obtain peace.
Can peace for a rational being exist? True peace would mean that our joy
transmuted from love comes from an absolute heart. One who is
capable of hate, but non-susceptible of it. Peace on Earth would
rely on the efforts of all rational beings. Since out every day
encounters with life are inevitable, we forget what we love
causing us to lose out on the reception of joy and therefore
moves us away from a life of peace. God has given us the ability
to strive for these goals. Faith in God gives us a reason to
achieve them. It is by accepting that all these things are
possible through God that we begin to see that a world of love,
of joy and of peace is one we can understand and strive for only
through the experience of our every day lives.
The Rational Guide
A Rational
being is one that uses reason and logic to solve a problem. I
believe humans to be rational. This does not mean we are the
only rational beings, but merely the only ones we can prove to
be rational. Since we are rational, I feel we must have some
sort of goal to achieve if were are to solve things with reason.
Reason is used to explain and what you are explaining is a
point. So there must be an absolute point to prove our
rationality. Although I will spend my life trying to find that
point, I have drawn many steps of ways to achieve it. While I
was in the Boy Scouts we had to recite the Scout Oath. That oath
was this:
"On
my honor I will do my best. To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To
keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally
straight."
Now, how does this tie into human rationality? Well, if we are
to provide logic to the situation; Logically we can assume
humans strive in life, whether it be for survival or for other
purposes. The three main ideas for us to be here today like on
these simple requirements if you will.
To keep myself physically strong: A person must be strong
in order to survive in life. Ignoring anything else in this
world but ourselves, we realize that we must do whatever we can
to survive. To remain physically strong means to keep your body
fit, healthy and ready for any case of action if need be.
To keep myself mentally awake: A person must be
intelligent in order to succeed. Unintelligent creatures die off
and do not survive. Being intelligent is what gives us the edge
over others and allows us to determine what is the best choice
for a circumstancial situation.
To keep myself morally straight: One might argue if this
is even necessary for survival purposes. I believe it is. In
order to gain in life, you must give something of equal value
(See the Law of Equivalent Exchange). This idea brings together
the other two. It places us in the world we live in, where
morality is something we rational beings possess. We may be
physically strong and mentally awake, but morality will hold us
back from some of the most extreme cases. If we live a path
where we follow our morals and stay true to them, we will have
life a conscience life.
When I came to college, I learned something over the summer. I learned
that I have been given a lot. I have had a good family, a good
education and a healthy body. I must now give back to the world
for what I have been given. In order to do that, I must follow
these three rules and maintain the kind of life which has been
intended for me. I must play my role as an actor does in a play
and then I can say I have lived up to my rational nature.
The Right Religion
What some prefer to believe religion is, is a group of ideas from
thousands of years ago. Many hate the idea of organized religion
simply because they find it to be a waste of time. A religion is
something which is not shared with any one other than you and God.
It is a sort of bond, one in which no one can comprehend. If you
were to take the act of murder and separate it into two forms, we
would perceive it differently. If murder with the will intent to
kill was called A, and murder in self-defense was called B, we would
feel a lot different about the action; saying things like B is ok,
but A is wrong. Eventually we will realize that every action in
every instance carries it's own value. So to commit a sin this
second and then to commit the same exact sin moments later is
completely different in the eyes of God, not in the eyes of humans
because humans often refuse to accept the idea that everything is
everything and we are all connection through action. So based on
this, no two people can have the same religion because it is almost
100% improbably for two people to share the same feeling and thought
about something. This butterfly effect of morality allows us to be
distinguishable enough to never feel like we have to compare with
one another. So I leave to you to decide what your own religion is,
not one in which you were raised to believe, not one you go to
church as a requirement to feel like your part of something, one
that you and God both share, one which identifies with every waking
moment, thought and action of your life; of your existance.
The Concept of the Messiah
Many feel as if they do not need someone to save them because they accept
the idea that they have brought about their own misfortune. We must
all accept responsibility for our mistakes and also realize why they
are mistakes. The idea of being saved means to be one with God and
to be atoned for all sins. In order to gain you must give something
of equal value. The law of equivalent exchange shows this and shows
that although we may give, we many not always receive. We must make
sacrifices so that we can prosper and turn away from sin. God showed
us all what perfection is. He showed us his great power to give and
to take away. That power enables us to strive towards perfection,
although we may never fain it. We must work hard to be self
righteous and then we can also receive God. We have been given the
ability to operate and think for ourselves. There are some that are
weak and control this but they too possess free will. With this free
will we can choose to accept or deny God's message to us so we can
see what we are enable to inherit. The Messiah represents this idea,
the one which is a guideline for us to see. Perfect in every way and
a living example of what we are not. The Messiah uses his free will
to teach about God and show us the absolute conscience. As we should
all teach the idea of the absolute conscience; which is to turn away
from social morals and discover one's in which we deeply follow with
our soul. The only way to do that is to understand what God has
given to us and let the ways of the Messiah show us how to exist to
inspire.
The Solution of Death
Reasons for suicide should never be brought about because of sadness.
Depression is one of the biggest hardships a person can deal with
because the ultimate end of depression is suicide. However suicide
should only come about when a person is misguided and misunderstood.
Those who do not understand the afterlife and reasons for obtaining
the right one simply ignore it and concern themselves with other
things. Material possessions including obsession of the human vessel
interferes with our understanding. The difference here is material
possessions are perishable and will disappear in time. God however
is infinite. Our perishables items will fail us from time to time
and we will eventually get cause up in it to attend more important
matters of life. Therefore we fall into a cycle of material items
controlling us. These are the people who should be thinking about
suicide because they are the worst state to be in. And that is an
empty driven life where in the end there is nothing to hold on to.
Those people are the ones in which are achieving nothing and the
ones we need to show the way.
The Absolute Conscience vs. The
Human Natural
The absolute conscience is the set of correct morals. Perfect and
flawless. Practically unthinkable by man because man often refuses
to believe that we can't be right all the time in our judgment. We
must accept the idea first that we are imperfect and as long as we
act the way we do, we will only further push away an opportunity of
perfection. We do this by justification of sin. By trying to reason
in situations where we know we are acting wrong, but continue in our
path of destruction anyway. In the head of the moment we often act
stupid and do not think situations through in most cases. However,
whenever we look back on our past, we can clearly take all that was
there into account and see what we did right or what we did wrong.
The Absolute Knowledge of God is in a sense looking down on all of
our thoughts and actions and can therefore see where we have messed
up willingly.
The Human Natural states that we act according to natures rules of do as
ye will, but harm ye none. Your natural instinct is what should
control you to the point where you harm no one. However the flaw in
this method is difference of opinion as to what harm brings. Since
human instinct is flawed and we do make errors, to base a system of
right and wrong on it would be unjust.
Failing God
How do you lose God? How can you learn the truth, realize what can and
will happen but still live in your own sin? Your conscience goes off
every time you do wrong, but you simply hit the snooze button and
hope for 10 more minutes of sin. Most drop out because they cannot
take the pressure. But you know full heartedly that life would get
harder. You want to pray, you want to be saved, but you don't. You
think maybe tomorrow or even maybe later. I don't know when you will
die, but you won't either unless you shape up. Stop losing focus.
School, family, life is all the things that make you who you are.
Why isn't God one of them? How can you be so assured of God's law
and try to teach it to others when you yourself do not even follow
it fully? I understand you make mistakes. I do to. But you don't
just make mistakes, you want them. You try to pull away from sin,
but you keep falling back into that pit. Pull yourself together.
Study hard; dedicate time and effort to God. Let yourself know that
you are trying. Not indulging and justifying sin. Eliminate your
temptation. Work for God, not around him. You know what you have to
do, so do it. Don't waste time. Don't let friendships stop you from
teaching. God will help you once you graduate. You'll finally get
your internship in being saved. Stop cursing also. Make a positive
difference, not one you will later think about right before you go
to sleep and apologize to God for. Because at that rate, sin will
continue. You'll do it over and over. I am only looking out for you.
This is your conscience speaking out to you. Think about what we are
saying here. God will be there for you. Jesus will help you.
Choice of God and The Choices of God
I accept the idea that there is a God. I see this through creation.
But like a painter who paints a picture, he can always destroy his
creation if he chooses to. On Earth, if a person commits a crime so
deadly, and they receive a life sentence for it, we accept that it
is a fair punishment. How is it fair though? We all know that one
day we will all die. Is that punishment fair because we know that
prisoner is going to die? If life was eternal, would a life sentence
be a fair punishment? God's after life is eternal, as is his
punishment. Now we can say God's rules over man's rules, but this is
not taken into account when a person feels as if they are obeying
God's rules and breaking man's rules. This leads me to believe that
there must be a set of rules in which both comply with one another.
Now, by looking at cultures we have different human laws, meaning a
different set of God's Laws that work for both man and God. Our
situation leads to different laws of Man and God. Just by looking at
the creator as a mere creator, all of his rational creatures now
approach him bearing different ways to follow him. In the end, God
has two choices to decide from; to accept all life for their
mistakes, ideas, differences and categorical placement in life or to
simply destroy his creations. All of his sinful and confused
creations... However, there is a way to solve this dilemma. And that
is to look at man's rules and God's rules. Man is fallible and makes
mistakes. God however does not. So when looking at man's rules to
God's rules, you can expect man's rules to contain errors while
God's rules will not. Now this leads you to believe, what are God's
rules and is there ever a chance in this life, that we can obtain
them? I leave that for you to decide.
Incompetence is...
God created man. God created life. How did man make life? Man cannot make
life. He can only use it. Man can make non-life. Man can take life
and make non-life. A tree into paper. Can God take life and make non
life? Does God take life and make non-life? Is this reincarnation
than? God created man to follow him; God gave man the freedom to
follow him. God listens to man. Man listens to God. Does God love us
all? Does God hate us all? Man is forgiven for sin. Sin is a
mistake. Is God forgiven for sin? Sin is a mistake. Not all men know
of God. God knows of all man. God created life. Man created
non-life. Does man know all non-life? God knows those who know him.
Man knows those who know of him. God is one, man is all. God is all,
man is one. If we do not know God, is it our faults? If God does not
know us, is it his fault? Should we know God? Should God know us?
Those who know God are judged by God. Those who know God, judge God.
Those who don't know God are not judges. Man, who has never heard of
man, is in able to judge. Man who has never heard of God, is he able
to judge? Will he be judged? The less man knows of God, the less he
will be judged? Man sets rules, God sets rules. Man breaks man's
rules. Man breaks God's rules. If man does not know man's rules, he
is still judged. Incompetence is not accepted. If man does not know
God's rules, is he still judged? Incompetence is not accepted, is
it?
Sympathy - Eddie
Guerrero or September 11th?
Yesterday was my 18th Birthdate. And to celebrate, I did what
I always do, and that is go online, play video games and does
homework. But yesterday when I logged on to my usual websites and
eventually came across WWE.com; I saw something that at first looked
a little peculiar. The main banner had said “1967-2005” Tragic Loss.
What made it seem even more out of place was that it was talking
about Eddie Guerrero, and that he had passed away. I didn’t believe
it at first, but eventually after visiting a few more sites such as
NoDQ.com to see if this was real, I went back to WWE.com and
accepted the fact that one of my favorite wrestlers; Eddie Guerrero
was dead.
I was filled with sadness, and in shock at how sudden this had happened.
Just the night before I was on WWE.com watching Velocity and
watching the Smackdown highlight videos to see Eddie Guerrero being
chosen as one of the members of Team Smackdown. And now, he is no
longer alive physically that is. I knew I wasn’t the only one who
felt this way towards Eddie’s untimely death and not more than an
hour later I came across dozens of references to people’s
condolences to Eddie’s family about his death. So I immediately
informed all the members on my buddy list; a few who already knew, a
few who didn’t know who he was, and a lot that simply didn’t care.
After some time to think about the situation, I began to realize
just how selfish people are when it comes to death.
When 9/11 happened, the whole country went into shock. Millions of people
were saddened by the events and even more so angered by them as
well. So as me and my friends always do, we made fun of a heavily
emotional situation. We cracked jokes about 9/11 simply because we
did not know of anyone who had died in the event. How did people
react to us about it? We were Anti-American, we were assholes, and
we were just down right scum. I understand that a few of these
people probably did lose someone they loved in this event. We were
simply trying to ease the situation at the time with jokes. Jokes
are made to make light heart of things. Not to get people riled up
and angry. And after 9/11, jokes were the last thing people wanted.
While discussing Eddie Guerrero’s death with my friend, we were both
truly sad by the event, but we could not laugh at the fact that when
he died he had his toothbrush in his mouth. I mean it is kind of
funny to see “Cause of Death: Good Hygiene”. I loved Eddie Guerrero
for all that he has done for wrestling. I loved Eddie Guerrero for
all that he has done for his family. He has indeed made some bad
choices in the past. And that’s exactly what they became, the past.
But during the present, Eddie Guerrero was on the top of his game,
only to fall short. Now for those who didn’t care that Eddie
Guerrero died is perfectly fine. For those that hated him and are
glad that he is dead, that is perfectly fine. I understand that not
everyone person cares about every other person. If some little boy
Cambodia
died this minute, I probably would not feel that compassionate
towards his death simply because I do not know anything about this
boy who I will never encounter ever in my life. It is the same with
others towards Eddie Guerrero; it is the same with me towards 9/11.
To call me inhumane would be your opinion, but the way I see it is, life
is life. One loss is a loss for everyone, and a thousands people
dead during 9/11 is just same amount of pain as one loss in the
wrestling world. But I have learned to grip with death, and use
humor as a soft approach to deal. Why can’t others? Why is it that
if others don’t care about Eddie Guerrero’s death, it’s no big, but
if I am not one of the thousands that feel sorry for 9/11, then I am
the bad person? Well I think “enough is enough, it’s time for a
change” to quote the late Owen Hart who fell to his death because he
had such a terrible gimmick in WWE.
