A new entry in to the mid Lincs league this season, the U/10 b team is still finding its feet with only playing 2 league games so far. However a 2 game winning streak in the cup has given the team a good air of confidence and an excellent team spirit. The team has been made up from 5 A-team subs from last season and 5 total newcomers giving the team a good mix of experience levels
Alexander Hampshire:
This is this young mans first season in competitive
football and Alex has improved vastly since he started training with the team
last year. He usually comes on in mid field but has also filled in upfront
and in defence with his versatility proving to be a great asset to the team.
Corinna Pearce:
Corinna is one of the teams most experienced players
and this shows through out her game. A great reader of the ball she has an
uncanny ability to create a gap with her pin point passing and selflessly
sets up her striking partner Max for many of his goals. No stranger to the
goal her self she is currently the top goal scorer in the girls league and
is sure to hit triple figures before the end of the season.
Ben Dickinson:
Ben is the most season player in the team having been with lowlands for over
3 years now. A regular sub last season Ben is now enjoying full games and
forms a usually solid back pairing with his defensive partner Luke. He is
always a first choice player and a real asset to the team.
Luke Jelly:
This is Luke's first season with the team having started training with lowlands
during the summer. He forms part of a defensive pairing with Ben but is given
a free rain to push up-field and assist with the attack. An excellent striker
of the ball Luke is fast becoming the team's free kick and corner specialist.
With his strength on the ball and his ability to hit the target at long range
Luke is a key player to this years campaign.
Nick Whalley:
Nick is another one of the teams new comers but he has shown a great willingness
to learn. He is always attentive in training and always gives 100% on match
days. Although still a little inexperienced he has improved vastly over last
few months. Although not a left footer, Nick has help greatly on the troubled
left side of midfield displaying a more natural ability than most right footed
players of his age and experience.
Oliver Cummins:
Oliver first started training with lowlands when the current u/10 team was
first formed but decided to leave it until he was a bit older before making
his triumphant return. One of the teams smallest players this young man has
got himself a reputation as the teams heading specialist, scoring more goals
with his head than with anything else. Oliver is one of the five core players
that were regular subs with the U/10 A team last season and is benefiting
greatly from more time on the pitch. His wing play has been excellent this
season and I can only say more of the same please for the rest of the season.
Tom Jackson:
The teams smallest and most inexperienced player, but what this little man
lacks in size he more than makes up for in enthusiasm. A very fit young man,
Tom always gives it his all and spends all match at 100mph. Tom joined us
late last summer but with his wit and eagerness he has been a pleasure to
train and with a little more experience I expect great things from this little
man.
Conan Cannon:
Conan joined the team very late on but has proven to be a very worth while
signing. He has become the teams first choice goalkeeper and is improving
with every match. A quiet young man Conan is eager to learn and listens well
to instruction, adapting well to his new team. It's a real pleasure to coach
him.
Max Heath:
Max is another of the five subs from last seasons a-team and often found him
self with only a few minutes play each game. Not that that mattered to this
young man he is happy just to be a part of the whole event. He has a great
attitude and an excellent sense of humour and he is really enjoying his football
this season. Forming a striking partnership with Corrina, Max is currently
the teams leading goal scorer and is a delight to watch on the ball.
Johnathan Lawson:
Johnathan has a great attitude to the game, although he wants to win he isn't
to upset if he doesn't, he just does it all for the love of the game. Starting
the season in goal Johnathan is now enjoying playing in midfield thanks to
the arrival of Conan were his strengths can be put to there best uses. An
excellent striker of the ball Johnathan shares the free kick and corner duties
with Luke, also able to hit the ball with power and accuracy. A regular sub
for the a team last season Johnathan is also benefiting from greater time
on the pitch and should slowly but surly increase his goal tally during the
season.
